DESCRIPTION:Join us for World Disco Soup Day!\n \nAfter its success in Germany and Brazil\, this year Slow Food Hong Kong is joining the global Slow Food network to organize the first ever World Disco Soup Day: a worldwide demonstration against the scandal of food waste. While millions of people still suffer from hunger\, one third of the food intended for human consumption is being thrown away every year. The challenge ahead is huge\, and it’s time for action. \nSlow Food Hong Kong will host a World Disco Soup Day stall at the Tong Chong Street Market. We will be using unwanted or surplus produce donated by local farmers and retailers and turning everything into a wonderful vegetable soup to be given free to all passers-by. \nWe will be at the market the entire day\, from 11am to 5pm. Show your support by dropping by\, saying hi\, and enjoying your own bowl of free and tasty Disco Soup! We’ll also have extra aprons for those who want to lend a helping hand.
